WHY I DO THIS WORK

Helping people stay connected to what matters most

For more than three decades, my career was centred on leadership. I had the privilege of leading teams, developing leaders, and helping organizations navigate growth and change. Along the way, I noticed something that titles, accomplishments, and business results rarely reveal.

Many of the most capable people I worked with were carrying invisible burdens. From the outside, they appeared successful. Privately, they were navigating relationship struggles, difficult decisions, personal loss, uncertainty, or a growing sense that something had begun to change.

Those experiences changed the way I understood leadership and ultimately inspired me to become a Registered Counselling Therapist.

Today, I combine decades of leadership experience with professional counselling to help individuals and couples navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, stronger relationships, and a renewed sense of alignment with what matters most.

INSIGHT INTO ACTION

A Different Perspective

Many of my clients are leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals, and couples balancing demanding careers with full and complex lives.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than three decades in executive leadership. I understand the weight of responsibility, the pressure to perform, the complexity of leading people while caring for those closest to you, and the quiet expectation that you’re supposed to have it all together.

That means we don’t have to spend our early sessions trying to understand your world. We can begin focusing on your experience within it and on what will genuinely help.

UNDERSTANDING YOUR WORLD

How We Will Work Together

“I believe therapy should leave you with greater clarity, not greater dependence.”

My work is grounded in a solution-focused approach that is practical, collaborative, and forward-looking. While understanding your story is important, our conversations won’t remain focused solely on the past. Together, we’ll clarify what matters most, recognize the strengths and resources you already possess, and develop realistic strategies that help you move forward with greater confidence and purpose.

Insight is valuable, but insight alone rarely creates lasting change. Meaningful growth comes from combining understanding with intentional action. My role is to help you translate insight into practical, sustainable changes that strengthen your relationships, support your well-being, and help you live in greater alignment with what matters most.

Whether I am working with individuals or couples, my goal is simple: to create a thoughtful, confidential space where meaningful conversations lead to meaningful change.

LEADERSHIP MEETS THERAPY

The Experience I Bring to Therapy

My perspective as a therapist has been shaped by more than my clinical training. Before entering the counselling profession, I spent more than three decades in executive leadership, completed graduate studies in both business and counselling, and graduated from the Wallace McCain Institute’s Entrepreneurial Leaders Program.

Those experiences taught me that leadership is rarely just about strategy or performance. It’s about people, relationships, difficult decisions, and the personal cost that responsibility can sometimes carry.

Today, my work is informed by evidence-based therapeutic practice and decades of leadership experience. Together, they allow me to appreciate both the emotional realities of life and relationships, and the practical realities of responsibility, leadership, and change.
