What brings people here

Conversations that rarely happen anywhere else.

I.

The loneliness at the top

Being the one who can't fall apart, who can't think out loud at work, who has no peer in the room. A confidential space to think clearly and speak honestly.

II.

Strain on marriage & family

Being relied on at work has costs at home that accumulate quietly. Presence, patience, intimacy, parenting under pressure. None of it tends to come up in a board meeting.

III.

Identity beyond the role

Who am I when I'm not the title? The question tends to surface around transitions like succession, exit, promotion, or a difficult year, and deserves a real answer.

About

Two careers. One vantage point.

I am a Registered Counselling Therapist - Candidate, regulated by the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists. Before entering practice, I spent more than three decades in business and senior leadership roles: building, deciding, providing, and being relied on.

I know responsibility not as an abstract concept, but as something lived day to day. My approach is grounded, direct, and shaped by that experience. There is no script and no agenda beyond what matters in your life. Fit and trust matter; the work unfolds at a pace that respects both.

"There is a particular kind of tiredness in being the one everyone else relies on. It deserves a space of its own."

Discretion

A practice built for people who cannot be casual about privacy.

Confidentiality is governed by professional standards and treated with the seriousness this audience requires. There is no public client roster, no social-media presence, no marketing that draws on the work. Sessions are held in a private, neutral setting in Halifax or via end-to-end-encrypted video. Records are minimal, kept securely, and never shared without explicit consent and a clear reason.

If you are reaching out in a senior or public-facing role, your inquiry is handled accordingly from the first message.
